Personal fragrance use

Who may open the closet
You should use Bero only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable laws. If you use Bero on
a device you do not own, you still remain responsible for complying with these terms and with any rules
set by the device owner.
Bero does not require you to register or sign in. There is no forced account, password, or membership
identity needed to browse, add bottles, or log wears.
What Bero is for
Bero is a personal scent wardrobe. It helps you keep bottle photos, perfume details, occasion and season
tags, tonight-oriented suggestions based on your local closet, and a calendar of wears. It is designed for
personal fragrance organization and reflection—not for operating a commercial fragrance marketplace or
diagnosing medical conditions.
License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Bero on
devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these terms and
with Apple's platform rules for apps obtained through the App Store.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer (except to the limited extent permitted by applicable
laws), rent, or create derivative works from Bero, or use the app to build a competing product by extracting
its code or distinctive creative assets.
House rules while you wear and log scents
- Use Bero lawfully and respect the privacy and rights of others.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or probe the app or related platform services.
- Do not use automated scraping or bulk extraction against Bero's interfaces.
- Do not upload or store content you do not have the right to use, including photos that infringe someone else's rights.
- Do not misrepresent Bero as providing professional medical, safety, or allergen advice.
Your bottle photos and notes
Content you add—bottle images, names, notes, occasion tags, and wear comments—remains yours. You grant
Bero a limited permission to store and display that content on your device as needed to operate the closet
features you choose to use.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you enter. If you include text or images that
you do not have rights to, you must remove them. We may refuse or remove access pathways that abuse the app,
subject to platform constraints for an on-device product.
Suggestions are guidance, not guarantees
Tonight picks and similar recommendations are based on information in your local closet, such as occasions
and rest intervals. They are convenience features, not promises that a fragrance will suit a setting,
skin chemistry, or preference. Always rely on your own judgment before wearing a scent.
Intellectual property in Bero
The Bero name, visual design, interface layout, and original software are protected by intellectual property
laws and remain owned by their respective holders. These terms do not transfer ownership of Bero to you.
Apple, the App Store, and related marks belong to Apple Inc. and are used only to describe platform context.
Third-party surfaces
Bero may open web pages (including legal documents) in an in-app browser and may rely on Apple system
services. Those third-party materials and services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible
for content or practices outside Bero's control.
Changes, pauses, and availability
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. On-device data remains
subject to your device storage and backup choices. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially
where platform, network, or device conditions interfere.
We may update this User Agreement from time to time. The revised agreement becomes effective when made
available with the app. If you continue using Bero after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Risks you accept
Fragrance preferences and reactions vary. Photos and notes you store are your responsibility to manage.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, Bero and its providers are not liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising
from your use of the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent allowed by applicable laws and
relevant regulatory requirements.
Stopping use
You may stop using Bero at any time by uninstalling it. We may restrict or end access to future versions
or related services if you materially breach these terms or if required by law or platform rules. Provisions
that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive
termination.
Disagreements
If a dispute arises from these terms or your use of Bero, you agree to first contact us so we can try to
resolve it informally. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be handled under applicable laws
and before competent dispute resolution bodies, without naming a specific country, region, or court in this agreement.
This User Agreement is effective as of September 14, 2026. For questions about using the Bero scent closet,
email amber.vial@scentbero.app. The same address appears in
Bero's privacy materials so you always have one place to reach us.
