Bero is a private perfume wardrobe on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be handled when you photograph bottles, organize occasions, log wears, and browse your closet. You can use Bero without creating an account.
This notice applies to the Bero mobile application and the local workflows that help you keep bottle photos, perfume details, occasion tags, seasonal notes, and wear history. It describes permissions the app may request, how information stays on your device, when limited network activity may occur, and the choices available to you.
Features and labels may evolve as Bero is updated. If a change meaningfully affects how information is handled, we will refresh this policy so it remains accurate.
Bero does not require registration or login. There is no mandatory profile account, password vault, or membership identity layer to open the closet, save a bottle photo, or record a wear. Because the app is designed around on-device use, this policy focuses on device-side content and system permissions rather than cloud account databases.
When you use Bero, the app may store information you provide or generate while building your scent closet, including:
This content is created for your personal organization of fragrances. Bero is not intended to collect government identifiers, payment card numbers entered by you into a profile form, or health diagnoses.
Depending on how you use the closet, iOS may prompt for permissions. Bero only seeks access that supports the related feature, and you can change permissions later in system Settings.
Denying a permission can limit the related action (for example, camera capture) without removing the rest of the closet experience.
Perfume records and wear logs are kept with on-device storage technologies such as SwiftData, and bottle images are stored in the app's local file space. Preferences such as coin balance used for digital feature unlocks may be saved with UserDefaults or equivalent local storage.
Because the wardrobe is primarily local, deleting the app, clearing app data, or losing device access can remove content that has not been separately backed up by you through your own device backup tools.
Bero is centered on offline-first closet use. Limited network activity may still occur when the system needs it—for example, when opening a legal page in an in-app browser, communicating with Apple platform services, or validating a store product at the time of a purchase interaction.
We do not operate Bero as a social network that uploads your entire closet to a public feed. Any transmission that happens through Apple or other platform channels is governed by those providers' own terms and privacy notices as well.
Bero relies on Apple system frameworks such as photo pickers, WebKit for displaying linked pages, StoreKit for commerce with Apple, App Tracking Transparency for tracking permission prompts, and on-device persistence frameworks. Those components may process technical information according to Apple's rules.
If you view third-party web pages inside Bero, those pages can set their own cookies or collect data under their policies. This Privacy Policy does not control independent websites.
We design Bero to keep closet content on the device you control and to request only permissions tied to visible features. No mobile environment is free of all risk. Protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock, keep iOS updated, and be careful when granting permissions or installing software from unknown sources.
Local perfume entries, photos, and wear logs generally remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app from your device. Preference values remain until reset or overwritten. If tracking permission is involved, system-level identifiers follow Apple's controls and your Settings choices.
If you need help understanding what is stored locally, contact us at amber.vial@scentbero.app.
Bero is built as a general fragrance organization tool and is not directed at children. Do not use Bero to submit personal information about children where applicable laws require parental consent that you cannot provide. If you believe a child has provided information through Bero in a way that should be removed, write to amber.vial@scentbero.app and we will help with reasonable guidance.
We may revise this Privacy Policy when product behavior, permissions, or regulatory expectations change. The updated text will replace the prior version when published for the app. Continued use after an update means you have had an opportunity to review the revised notice.
This version is effective as of September 14, 2026. For privacy questions about the scent closet experience, reach us at amber.vial@scentbero.app.
We handle privacy topics described here in a manner intended to align with applicable laws and relevant regulatory requirements. Nothing in this policy creates rights beyond those required by such laws or by this notice itself.
